{"id":118,"date":"2022-01-30T21:03:09","date_gmt":"2022-01-31T02:03:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/claudiachan.co\/?p=118"},"modified":"2022-01-30T21:07:15","modified_gmt":"2022-01-31T02:07:15","slug":"let-go-of-expectations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/evercraftleather.com\/claudiachan\/let-go-of-expectations\/","title":{"rendered":"What if we can let go of expectations?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One thing that I tend to do a lot is I put a lot of pressure on myself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I always wonder if I'm doing something right. Is this action worthwhile? Am I making a mistake? How will this turn out? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This ends up being super exhausting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So one of the things I'd been working on is to let go. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let go of this pressure, to question whether what I'm doing is correct. Whether I've made the right decision. I just pick one thing and go. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because what if all roads lead to Rome? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You just have to pick it, and commit to it, and go. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rest of it is just wasted energy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And if it doesn't? Then try again! Try something different! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We'd been so \"groomed\" to have to get the right answer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But in real life, there is no such thing as a right answer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is just trial and error. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And what if it fails? As long as we don't die, we can always try again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It makes things so much less daunting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maybe I'll find fun along the way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And that's it! Finding <em>fun<\/em> along the way, instead of finding the <em>correct<\/em> way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Breathe, Let go, Live. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One thing that I tend to do a lot is I put a lot of pressure on myself.
